A Guitar Intensive in Mexico
We are revising the Guitar Vacation Retreats program.
New curriculum, price and schedule information will be posted on the revised website on August 1st, 2009.
Guitar Vacation Retreats
is a one-week guitar instruction intensive in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, focusing on classical guitar technique
and applied music theory (i.e., how to use classical technique plus applied music theory to pursue your own creative musical goals.)
While we are revising our program and website, we will still be teaching during the summer of 2009
(subject as usual to the demands of our performance schedule.) If you are interested in either a one week Guitar Vacation Retreat
or a series of private lessons during your stay in San Miguel de Allende, please email us directly at the address below.
Please feel free to browse our website; the Resources files have not been moved, and the

David returned in January '08
for the 3rd year in a row.
Our students write:
I think I can go as far as to say that my one week in San Miguel
was a life-changing experience. I learned many new things about my
capabilities (music-wise, language-wise and culture-wise) and this
opens up many new possibilities for me personally... You very quickly
devised music studies well-suited to my capabilities, which I believe will bear
fruit for me personally for a long time to come. (Doug)
Thanks Jack and Frances for a magical week I will not soon forget... (Jeff)
Thanks again for one of the most amazing weeks of my life... (Elizabeth)
Thanks so much. It was an invaluable and immensely enriching experience... (Derek)
The historic colonial city (pop. 140,000) of
San Miguel de Allende
is located in the central highlands of
Mexico, a day's drive from the Texas border, and 3 hours north of Mexico City.
San Miguel is an international artists' colony, with two art schools, many
galleries, and visitors from throughout the world. It also has a thriving
live music scene. Visitors are attracted by San Miguel's mild climate year-round,
its proximity to an international airport, and its colonial architecture,
colorful history, and authentic Mexican village charm.
