Free Online Guitar Tuner Free Online Guitar Tuner High E or 1st string B or 2nd String G or 3rd String D or 4th String A or 5th String Low E or 6th String

How to use the Free Online Guitar Tuner:

  1. Sit down by your computer with your guitar on your lap.
  2. Place the mouse cursor over one of the letters on the Free Online Guitar Tuner. It is not necessary to click the mouse. The tuning note will sound automatically. We suggest starting with the low E string (bottom left button on the tuner.)
  3. Play your Low E string (that's the thickest string, usually closest to your chin if you are right-handed) and compare the sound of the string with the tone coming from the tuner.
  4. Do your best to adjust the pitch with the tuning peg until the sound of your string exactly matches the recorded sound.
  5. Repeat for each of the other 5 strings in turn.
  6. The tuning tone will stop automatically after 30 seconds. If you want to repeat that tone, just reposition the mouse on the same spot. To stop the tone, just move the mouse away.
